Title: 8 track in 1967 camaro with console
Post by: DarkJerre on December 27, 2025, 09:59:35 AM
Hi team, I love reading about all your findings and gather knowledge everytime I search for something.  As a newbie here I've tried looking for the 8 track player as an option in my 1967 camaro.

I've always been mesmerized by the 8 track.

1 - the car has a centre console with gauges
2 - car has the powerglide automatic
3 - all original radio with aux speaker

Q1 - What would I need to keep in mind when wanting the add an 8 track player?
Q2 - Am I correct to say that because of the gauges the 8 track is added as an "armrest" option? (drilling?)

I welcome any input and pictures to get me going on this new adventure.

Kind regards,
Jerome (Belgium)

I recommend you get yourself the A.I.M. and research all the parts.

You could do what I did :) Get a period Day 2 player and mount under dash next to console.
