I have a 1969 Z10 camaro with cowl induction. I have the original setup with Quadra jet and a re-production air cleaner. I am having trouble with the carb linkage hitting on the bottom of the air cleaner housing. Any Suggestions? Was there a factory spacer on the carburetor besides the small gasket?
You could add a few more carb horn gaskets to raise the air cleaner assembly away from the linkage.

The spacer you are looking for.

The spacer you are looking for.
No. That spacer fits between the top of the air cleaner flange and the flat hood seal flange.
Is it the top of the lever or is it the threaded rod/swivel hitting? Might need to move it to a different hole?
I would look at the Quadrajet part number to verify if it is correct first. If not, then consider bending the lever inward for clearance or grinding off some of the ample extra material on top part of the carb lever. Something is not "original" here.
fixed it here...... https://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=21797.0
Glad you solved it! Should have stayed in my (limited) area of knowledge!
