Title: 1969 camaro AC middle Duct /Dash
Post by: hdptsr on November 11, 2025, 06:27:20 PM
Hello, I am putting a 1969 camaro together and am trying to figure out the placement of the middle AC duct as it exits the dash.  I will attach some pictures.  I am a bit confused as the dash opening is not large enough for the duct to come through.  I know the vent piece will fit into it, just not sure this is right?

Have you looked at UPC C60 Sheets A8 and A10 in the 69 AIM?  I'm not familiar with the 69 ductwork and center vent. Is that the original factory duct that came out of the car, or was the dash replaced? There might be better/additional illustrations in the 69 chassis service manual.

Here's a link to an old thread that mentions a seal between the duct and dash

Looks correct. I went through some of my pictures from several years back. Here's what I have. Maybe you can blow them up....Joe
