Title: Bumper Jack ID 1969
Post by: GCS SS350 on March 16, 2025, 05:23:16 PM
Just picked up a used bumper jack assembly for my 69. All the info I could find I believe its legit. Looking to see if I can get a confirmation if possible. Trapezoid mast, U69 on base, Camaro 1969UN on bumper attachment, H8 on Rivet head, roughly 32 7/16 mast length. UN on up/down lever.
From info I found that would make it a Norwood jack, August 1968 date on rivet which is early for a 69 is only thing. Have some pictures but couldn't figure how to download. My car is Norwood car but build date is 12B so jack would be a little early for my specific car. Only cost me $100 so couldn't pass it up. In very good shape. Jack came out of a one owner 69 coupe. original owner passed and car sat in garage since 1984 until recently. His daughter sold it to gentleman I received from. He turned car in to resto mod with an LS. Jack had been sitting in his garage for years. Said he still had original spare wheel. Had tire removed due to bad condition.

This being an August jack per the H8=August 68. I assume the car it came out of had to be an early Camaro, August or September?

I have a (8L) jack for a Norwood car. My problem is I have a Van Nuys car. Sure would like to find the correct square mast Walker jack. Needle in a haystack.😁
