Post by: wisemanz28 on September 08, 2024, 09:16:04 AM
Is there anyone rebuilding Chevrolet coils? I have a coil off my 69 Z that I would like to have rebuilt.

An assembly line coil would be oil filled. Not very practical to rebuild.

Crimped sheet metal shell at the Top, Phenolic or plastic top with leads terminated, Primary and Secondary windings and two pole laminated steel core. Insulated filled materials- Solid or Liq

- Impossible to do with out a Electrical rewind shop and tooling.

Esp when Coil manufacturing has been likely outsourced to Ca, Mex or East Asia. I Wonder  "IF" there EVER has been a rebuilding Service provider, Would the Corvette world has a possible source?

I need to find a Core and Cut it open for Autopsy & Show and Tell photos.
