Title: Savannah Int. Raceway: 1969 Camaro RS/SS Z11 Conv. Pace Car for SCCA National
Post by: SMKZ28 on September 05, 2024, 06:13:21 PM
A 1969 Camaro RS/SS Z11 convertible was used as the pace car for the Sports Car Club of America National event that took place at Savannah International Raceway in Bloomingdale, Georgia on Sunday, May 11, 1969.  There would have been multiple races during the weekend contested by different classes of cars and the Camaro probably paced all of them.  Savannah International Raceway changed its name to Roebling Road Raceway in 1976.
