If it's legit, and you have the car that is a match, $6500 is a good price.
Interesting that it has a tripower carb setup.

Stampings seem legitimate.
Guys please help me locate this engine. I have the car it came out of. So my Father who passed away 3 years ago bought this car 5 years ago. Through process of elimination using data from this site we narrowed the car down to being a SS350 or a Z28. The pitman arm is the z28 pitman arm and it has the correct leaf springs. I was just about to sell the car and even had it listed on Facebook but this changes things. The car is a real z28 like we suspected but couldn't prove because of the missing cowl tag. Please help!!!

Good luck chasing the engine down. Sucks about your trim tag being missing, but a '68 TT won't prove anything one way or the other.
Having that engine would. Does anybody know why that link won't open?
The Marketplace post is gone. Once deleted I don't think it can be recovered.

Apparently this engine came from a car that was wrecked 30 years ago.
I can confirm that the VIN on the car Justin has matches the engine stamping on this block.
It may have ended up in the Chicago area. Hopefully the engine can get reunited with the car someday.
Here's the pad.
