I was checking the codes again on my POP. Feels like I keep forgetting details. I have a P9R31 without a muncie suffix code. Very minor detail on the decoding page, but it states the suffix begins with 10/21/68 production.
And thank you for the fantastic amount of information available, I don't know what I woud do without having this resource.

I did read that Joe, hence my question. My POP has no suffix, and the production is after 10/21/68.
1969 Muncie 4-speed only:
A = M20
B = M21 Use of the Muncie type suffix
C = M22 began with 21 Oct 68 production.
I see what you're saying. I don't know on that one...sorry, Joe
The Muncie ratio code was never stamped on the POP, no matter the date.

See the POP decoder section (link above) and you will read this (text below). It is not "clear as a bell" so I will ask Kurt if we can reword that a bit.
But the 69 Muncie model suffix was not stamped on the POP.
Actually I just went in and made a modification to the page and this is how the wording reads now.
The Muncie model (ratio) suffix, which started in late October 1968, was never stamped on the POP.
Does that make it more clear?
Perfectly clear now!
