Sad
As much as these things pain us, at least we have the Internet, so it is easier to track things.

Probably why it hasn't sold by now. The counterfeiters know about this site and are no-way going to go up against it.
Sad, yes. Legal, yes. Its not a VIN tag. What the seller has is what some refer to a 'buck tag'. Sure, most likely will end up on a fake pace car 'tribute' no less. Do I approve, no.
If the person was smart - they should have covered up the sequence number.....but.................dooooh!!!!!
To me - its worthless - especially now.
FWIW,
Just look at the other ebay listings--lots, and lots of other 'buck tags' for sale. And that does not include the Brand X cars also...
Can we say "Re-Body!?"
Dy-Na-Corn (Z11)
Lol
Problem is - all the work to do the "conversion" would add up to nothing - not worth the effort if your know all the ins & outs of these cars - build dates, etc.
In a few years - It'll be out there that there is a 69 Pace car with seq number tag NOR317202 is an obvious fake.
Ends up bad for the person who ends up with it - its always gonna be tainted, and the whole thing will end up in a court room.
The VIN of the donor car would have to 'fit' the info on the tag.
By the time that resto is done, the owner will be way upside down in it.
