on a 69 Camaro what does this date code translate to 184B

184B is probably a January of 1968 shifter for a 1968 Firebird.

I could be wrong.

That is correct.  68 birds had the same shifter.  Ive had 2 of them now and one was off a 68 bird transmission.  I got the date coding wrong in the yenko thread so my apologizes for that.  Some reason I had 1 as chevrolet or batch #, 8 for the year and B4 as the month and day.  Sucks getting old and forgetting the small details.

Here is an October 68 date code from one I had out in the garage.
