Title: 69 Cowl Tag
Post by: gbowman on May 13, 2021, 04:15:08 PM
Does this tag look suspicious to anyone or am I missing something? I've never seen NBR for Norwood.

You mean other than the pop rivets holding it on?! What's the VIN? The trim tag's been off the car and may not belong.

The pop rivets were the first indication for me. But I'm not familiar with NBR on a 69 cowl tag. I've asked for the VIN. Thanks.

Looks okay other than the rivets. Should be a 09A tag but the rivets cover most of the date!

NBR is a known error for that time period.

Yes, I've since found that out after Joe pointed me in the right direction, thanks Joe! The owner/seller said they have had the car 15 years and it was like that when they acquired it, but it has definitely been off the car at some point I believe. There are traces of yellow paint in the trunk area, but I still have no way of knowing if the cowl tag is original to the car. Thanks for all the comments.
