Title: Throttle lever orientation?
Post by: red69 on January 02, 2021, 07:46:14 PM
I'm changing my throttle linkage from the six cylinder/crossram cable style to the V-8 lever set-up. I'm installing the lever and consulted the 69 AIM, it appears the show the arm installed with the offset towards the left or drivers side of the car. The arm seems to be too far over and interferes with the washer pump. Looked at my son's 67 and it is installed with the offset the other way. Is the illustration a misprint (item 11 Lever) in attached?

Item #2 is different for V8 so be sure you have that first.

The assembly will make more sense once you have it all together.

Thanks for the picture that's how I put it together. Been 40+ years since I switched it for crossram. In the illustration nut is towards firewall, looks like arm was just drawn backwards.
