REPOP TRIM TAG (https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/lancaster-1969-camaro-ss/7128453889.html). (Even I can spot this one and I'm not that good at trim tags!)
VIN is 124379N704153

I think that's great! Would have never seen that one on a So. CA Craigslist ad.
Have to wonder what they were thinking. Tag is configured for a Olympic Gold SS 396 w/o style trim, with black vinyl top, standard interior. Why not match it up with the resto?
And IT'S BACK (https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/lancaster-1969-camaro-ss/7146312572.html). (I LOVE the statement " she's the real McCoyAJ 100/ restored if you're looking for something special this is she"!)

Boys,
Heck for the $1 asking price, I will take a chance! LOL.
That was quick - link has expired, at least from this end. Post a pic if you copied one -

I see what you mean. Nice fresh tag and rivets, too.
Thanks Ed -
Boys,
Remember it is not illegal to reproduce a buck/body tag. VINs are a no-no and IS illegal. That said, don't get me wrong, I do not condone anyone who makes a 'fake' tag to represent a car that wasn't original.
Maybe not but has been construed as fraud in a court of law.

$235 for the fake tag; handing $300k to the buyer you screwed. Priceless!
It is definitely fraud now based on more than one court case.
And in Oklahoma it is illegal to swap body/cowl tags.

Absolutely agree! It IS fraud when you make a 'fake' tag to represent it as something it was not.
I just can't figure out why the rivet centers aren't pushed in to lock the plate. That would be my first flag.
The tool to install the rivets is not included with the purchase of a tag according to their site. You can epoxy the rivets or buy the tool for $20.
