I just bought a car and it has a date stamp on the vin plate. It is a 67 with the serial number 124377n108144 and 096 stamped on the plate. Is there any reason that it has the extra stamping?

There are a few others like yours. Actually the dealer was supposed to stamp the delivery date on all of them, but few dealers did this. Can you send me a picture of the vin tag and cowl tag (dakcoffman@juno.com)?
