Post by: upscope757 on March 29, 2020, 09:12:17 AM
All, trying to refurbish my rear window regulators. Any tips? Any grease recommended? Thanks!

I soaked mine in carb cleaner. They look brand new. Haven't greased them yet...Joe

Tks! I suppose a good axle grease would work well.

In the transmissions (the gear box) I use Mobile high tack gear grease called black pearl.
On the open tracks I use White lithium.

Usually I find chunks of grease coming out of the regulator transmissions - I use a pressure washer and steaming water.
If you lube and adjust your regulators correctly the windows will operate without having to "help" them up.
