I need help with finding a drawing or instructions on how to complete the wiring and plumbing connections for the headlight washer on my 69 Z.
Do you have an assembly manual?
Yes I have the assembly manual however it is just showing the nozzle location and not the actual connections to the pump. It also does not show the electrical connection wiring. Any help is greatly appreciated
UPC CE 1 & 2, Hose routing from W/S Pump to lamps.
Kindda big, but I would like for all to be able in reading it.
The OP didn't specify RS or open headlight (I assume RS), but note the hose routing for the washer jar (CE1 pg A2 view A) is for a non-RS car - the jar is on the passenger side for the RS version, supply hose comes from the opposite side; obviously longer reach. Hose routing at the valve is available online in Camaros.net and Corvette forums - function is the same between Corvette, Camaro and Caprice/Impalas in '69.
Wires are piggy-back terminals, mount to the terminals on the washer pump under the harness plug.

Steve

The electrical diagrams in the service manual should show the electrical connections.
You have the small jumper connections for the RS
Wow! Thank you all so much. Greatly appreciated. Now I can complete the restoration and install of the washer unit. Thanks again!!!
Anyone know where I could possibly purchase a check valve for this system. Need it badly. Can't get my system to work after purchasing all new parts and following the diagrams sent by everyone
Route the hoses temporarily to the windshield nozzles and see if the washer is pumping fluid. Depending on the washer you used (OE used, reproduction, NOS) the unit can be temperamental. It also takes a good while to get the lines full; you need to put a comparable check valve in line as you're looking for to make sure the lines stay filled. Not a high pressure delivery in any respect -
Also remember you need to press and hold the switch as the factory instruction states.

Steve
I think the round check valve is still available, the barrel in-line check valves are not. I always wanted to try reproducing them (no free time)
4919503 (item 10, AIM CEI A2) has been gone for a long time. I wish they were still available, or somebody would reproduce (as long as it doesn't go overseas to you know where). This keeps the forward nozzles from draining the circuit.

Steve
