What is a "Y" 7801149 ?
All 69 Z28,s did use the 7801149 pump , with white fan, as far as dating anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 , I'm sure you could go even more with no controversy.
Y suffix denotes the pressure relief valve in the pump body.
Then OP has a 68 pump, not correct for 69
hi, thanks for getting back to me, yes I understand that the letter "Y" stood for pressure relief valve installed. all the smog pumps I have seen for 1969 Z/28 end in the letter "S". even in Jerry MacNiesh book the pump illustrated end in the date code with the letter "S" for Saginaw plant. so like I ask does anybody know if they know or seen a smog pump for 1969 Z/28 with a date code ending in the letter "Y"
thanks again, the site was very helpful. and for anyone else 1969 Z/28 7801149 smog pumps only end in a "S"
