Title: 1968 Camaro Convertible Parade Car @ 1967 NHRA World Finals Southwest Raceway OK
Post by: SMKZ28 on January 10, 2020, 10:34:10 AM
A white 1968 Camaro convertible was used as a "parade car" prior to the start of the 1967 National Hot Rod Association World Finals held at Southwest Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday and Sunday, October 28/29, 1967.  The car is carrying two young women who look like beauty queens or something.  I'm not sure if there were more than one of these cars ushering people down the track during the pre-race activities or not.  I was only able to find one image of the car in a period film about Chevrolet racing exploits in 1967.  Click on the following link and scroll down on the left side to 01:11:56 to see the portion showing the Camaro convertible: http://www.historicfilms.com/search/?q=camaro#p1t4235i0o315
