Does a 69 Z/28 with a console and gauges also get an idiot light sending unit along with the plastic line? There is a unit on Ebay showing a copper/brass nipple with a brass block with the oil line fitting and oil sending unit as an assembly. The person said he removed it from a 69 Z/28 with console gauges where the idiot lights in dash and console gauges both worked.
Could this be something GM offered as over the counter parts to people who wanted to add a console to their camaro?
thanks for the help.
Sam
In my 44 years of chasing '69s I have never heard of such a part or seen a part number for it.
Neither have eye but the guy on Ebay believe's it exists. Thanks for the response.
Sam
Sam, do you have the auction number?

William, Warren, I bought my 69 Z/28 in April of 2000. The original console and gauges had been added before I bought the car. I noticed the oil pressure sending unit fitting and line with the idiot light sending unit attached to each other. Never saw that before but no big deal, it works. 19 years later I see on Ebay the "EXACT" same setup block, nipple, line fittings everything as my car has. Never saw that anywhere but on my car. Still has to be a homemade set up but.................weird.

Thanks, Sam
Looks like a bunch of stuff I used to sell at NAPA....Joe

Thoughts on this set up Warren?
I did that on my 69 Chevelle 30 plus years ago, just parts you can buy at local parts or hardware store. You have the gauge for a pressure reading and idiot like in case your not paying attention. I'm considering doing it on the Camaro, if I add a aftermarket gauge, it only had idiot lights originally.
We used to say if you saw the light it was already blown up, but one can hope. Paul
Sam,
GM never offered that complete setup as a kit in their parts catalog. They did have a Standard Parts Catalog that may have had those individual parts. The owner probably wanted some piece of mind and came up with that idea.

We just did that on my brothers 68. I like the idea, the red light catches your eye. The Ebay sale is $125.00 for$10.00 worth of parts and a used sender. By the way you can make one that looks a lot better than that one.
Again, thank you for the input guys. Did not think GM would offer a part like that.
Oh my the stuff that is passed off as original Z/28! LOL
You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around........that's what it's all about!!
That has got to be the biggest p.o.s I ever saw being passed off as an original part.
