Title: Mystery convertible top part?
Post by: uscrichter on May 28, 2019, 06:06:56 PM
I am working on the manual convertible top for my '68 and have this mystery part that was with the other top parts when I got the car years ago, does anyone know if this lever looking part even goes with the top?

I have never seen this part or anything like it on my power top car.

Doesn't look familiarto me.  Almost looks like a crank handle for a screw jack.

Thanks Guy's! That's what I thought but this is my first restoration and a convertible and the Body By Fischer book seems to leave out a few details since I assume they shipped the top frames as one assembly.

Might be similar to part #34 in this Craftsman push mower parts diagram, or something along that line.
