The car is in an article in a popular muscle car magazine, May edition. It said to possibly be the first factory 427 delivered and has received a top of line restoration. It seems that pains were taken to locate correct parts and use original parts. But the "427" was made a 496 with 12.5 to 1 pistons and other mods. My question is why? Does anyone know the story behind this car?
The article never mentioned the 427 was the original motor. If it was a GM installed 427 wouldn't it of had the VIN stamped on the pad? Did Yenko do something to be able to ID the 427's they installed when doing the conversions?
There is a lot of speculation in the article. Good looking color combination.
is this the same car?
It is in the Kevin Suydam Collection
