I have an 11C 1969 Camaro. The car is missing the VIN / Date label on the drivers door. Do all of the 1969s (mine is a Norwood car) have this label on the drivers door? Or since the car was produced in November 1968 was the label omitted at the plant and only used after 1 January?
Thanks
The drivers door VIN label was a requirement for the 1970 model year. When Chevy extended 1969 Camaro production the LH door shell was modified to include locating ribs; the label was to be placed between them.
Indications are the label was introduced 08A when Norwood reset body numbering to '100001'. That occured late in VIN range N669xxx.
The first car to get the sticker was somewhere between VIN 671122 and 671208, both of which are 08A cars.

I have a 08C 1969 Camaro would it for sure have the sticker or was it sporadic since it was yet required?
also it looks like from another post they changed the sticker format a little after a couple of months the last line just said "above" instead of "shown above"

I have been told the pic in jerrys book is actually repop sticker along with the dx tire sticker, so there is just one version after all.
