Title: GEN light: Help me remember?

An 'old guy' here that can't seem to remember...
On a 69, when you turn the key to the ON position, shouldn't the GEN light turn on?

I swear that's how it used to work, but now that I've replaced the under-dash wiring harness
with an AAW Factory Fit harness, I'm not so sure... Everything else is working properly, but that
light does not turn on..

Please help.

key on, engine off, gen lite should be on.

I'll check the bulb again.
