Title: Passenger side mirror 1969
Post by: x66 714 on May 29, 2018, 08:03:13 AM
I think I know the answer for this but just wanted to be sure. A passenger side mirror was always an accessory & never an option...Correct? Thank you, Joe

Correct.  Dealer installed was the closest you could get.  Never factory installed.

FWIW - Search function = passenger side mirror.

My L78 69 has one. Never looked at the mount but I will now. It was there in pictures from 77 and looks like the other one.

That's was prompted me to the question. I have a picture of the car in about 1980 & there was a RH mirror. During this restoration nothing is going on that wasn't there at the assm. line except the unknown wheels...Joe

Here in Australia it's a requirement to have an exterior mirror on each side of a left-hand drive car, so I will be adding one. But happy to do so, because it might just help me avoid a collision by eliminating a blind spot when changing lanes and overtaking.
