Title: 69 Pace Car Speed-O Hole
Post by: FreddieB on March 24, 2018, 02:41:13 PM
I've been working on a 69 Pace Car for a customer and just noticed there is no hole in the firewall for the speedometer cable . There is a hole to the right of the Brake booster , unfortunately I was not the one who took the car apart . Any help would be appreciated ![

The standard 1st Gen Camaro speedo cable routing is vertical, at the bottom of cowl near the column as noted.

Only cars built with a Muncie 4-speed have the cable routed horizontally under the wiper motor, along the passenger side of the trans tunnel. '69s built with the HD 3-speed also.

The car in question must have been built with an automatic.

It Muncie 4- speed now , floor looks like a factory cut out for the shifter

I don't see the "factory cut" shifter hole.
