Complete and running.

Casting date: Sept 9, 1968 (I98)
Build date (on front pad) V0911 "September 11th"

I have NO IDEA what region this engine came from...could even be Canada...it just "showed up"

Just an update...I ended up tracking down the car that this engine belongs to...Quite an amazing story. It belongs to a Dusk Blue, black vinyl top, power windows, console RS Z/28...Canadian car documented by GM Canada (George Zapora). Miracles do happen...

Yes...the engine has been reunited...after approximately 40 years apart. The story of this interesting reunion will be told in an upcoming publication...Definitely feels good knowing that "it can happen"...I have a few Z/28s which are waiting to be reunited with their DZ mills...

I have also helped someone reunite the DZ motor to their car. Very cool. I am also looking for a early DZ block for a LA car. L503***. I was lucky to find a block that is very close, until the original surfaces. fingers crossed...😁
