Nice article.. :) I'd love to see the car and chat with the owner~
Isn't the hemi 302 in Garret's museum? It was a few years ago.
That story sounds very familiar, wasn't there a feature on it in MCR a while ago? I'll have to dig my old copies out.....

Yep. Was there back in 2013...
Why does the engine compartment look restored?
The engine has been apart several times. Camaros don't come with aluminum overflow tanks either.
I have about the same picture as Darrell. I think I was there before 2011.
Several things under the hood were messed with, and silver booster??
Far from unrestored...
I thought the Blue car was the unrestored car, not the silver one, or am I missing something?
The story is about the blue car. The silver car is the 302 hemi car in a museum and was mentioned in the article regarding where he got the cross ram parts for the blue car.
The whole story seems a bit embellished to me, but that's what happens over the years I guess.
I don't understand why someone would special order 4 wheel disc brakes and M22 but not 4.11 gears, as he used it mainly for cruising and street racing.
Must have a hell of a paper trail on that car since it was so special to him and he has a picture of him signing the paperwork at the dealer!
If JL-8 was only form Feb. 69 to Mar. 69 how can his car be factory built with it.

Funny. Never knew base clear was a paint option BITD.. :o
Unrestored and barnfind seem to be trigger words in most of theses article. Writers don't always put down the interview verbatium, but what they feel may be a more interesting read. Might be the case here. Hearing directly from the source probably a better read. Pretty cool if the owner got pn the site.
Hard typing on theses smart phones!

Not sure what you mean. I said it was far from unrestored. That's means in my opinion it's not original. In other words, it's been messed with.
