So I'm under my dash and this heavily taped wire is there, so I unwrap it and it looks like a diode, or resistor in the shape of a round ball, soldered to a brown wire. It looks like it goes up to ignition switch and the other side pairs up to a blue wire in a plug that goes to the firewall. I don't have a clue and it's hard soldered in. Sorry for the size of pic my phone won't resize any smaller.
This is the paired up pic
I'll look at my 67. That looks like a diode as a resistor will not be a ball shape
It's easy enough to verify it is a diode with a DVM.
When you said the blue wire goes to the firewall, how does it contact it? Through a plug?
Mike
I honestly can't tell how it goes through the firewall it looks like it goes behind the fuse block,. I think it's my headlight wiring, but this is my first 67 Rallysport, and I'm unfamiliar with it as of the moment
