So I know the door striker was installed prior to paint. Was the latch mechanism in the door at paint? Did the striker have to be adjusted later to line up with the door latch?
Getting ready for paint and want to make sure I get it right... it would seem the latch goes in after paint...but I need everything to line up...

They were installed in the Body Shop (to fit the doors), and were later painted body color; looks messy, but that's the way it was done.

That's typical of what I've seen. The difference isn't the year but the plant. NOR painted them. LOS installed after.
A lot of threads on the subject. Norwood before, LOS after. The screws end up painted on Norwood cars.
