Title: Air filter Decal and Evaporator decal
Post by: lemarin on May 14, 2016, 08:34:29 AM
About the air cleaner Decal ("Keep your GM clean". Which one should be the right one for my car ? I do have a 69 RS with LM1 350/255 ?

Camarocentral shows the CQ decal: (http://www.camarocentral.com/v/vspfiles/photos/STI-65-2.jpg)

Heartbeat shows the CN decal: (http://images.nitrosell.com/product_images/2/437/large-rps-1135.jpg)

Rick's Camaro shows the CO decal: (https://www.rickscamaros.com/assets/rfg/images/size/600x/sku/D-903.jpg)

With one to choose from the 3 ?

Now I do have an original A/C, and I know that there's an evaporator decal. I'm wondering about where to stick it. I've seem many pictures, but on my car, there's a kind of heat protection at this specific location. Any idea ?

here are some sample pictures of unrestored car I've found:

What is the build date of your car?  My early 69 (11D) SS/RS convert (300 HP 350) has a black air cleaner sticker that is a little differently shaped. It is a CO with part number 6484584 air filter element is A348C.

Mine is 09B so it's an early model as well, not SS....only RS with regular flat hood (not Cowl induction)

Master cylinder ? Originally the car was not power brake, this brake booster was added last winter only. I bought it from heartbeat.

Where should this casting located exactly? And where should US be stamped ?

The US is stamped on the machined pad on top of the boss that sticks out the front of the master cylinder

I do have ordered the 68 black air cleaner decal, does it goes to the same location as the white one, between forward and driver's side ? I looked on pictures from 68 engine, but the snorkel is opposite to ours 69 ....
