Appraised at $54K in 2011 as a replica? Not bad if that is true.

At least this fella isn't making any unfounded claims; infact, in the auction just concluded yesterday, he states that he took a 'plain jane' Camaro and made it into a Pace Car 'look alike'. I'd sooner buy this one than one that is totally misrepresented. If the work done is of good quality and the body is as solid as claimed, then this would make an attention getting driver for much less $$...
PS. I'm curious about the trim tag. Is this a 'fake/reproduction' tag? Was white paint and orange interior available in a standard convertible (outside the Pace Car builds)???
The eBay ad makes no mention of the car being a clone or re-creation, call it what you will. It has over 4 days to run. Misrepresentation by silence is still
misrepresentation.
To me a repro tag demonstrates intent to deceive. If it had its OE tag I wouldn't have mentioned it.
How about the ZL1 Pace car with NO backup lights!

The VIN starting with 568 is a pretty good trick - I really didn't know Pace Car production started in December '68 - thought is was January - lol.

Numbers Matching...even the TT = N568578
Wow...the VIN matches the tag number. What luck! That guy had better play Power Ball with luck like that ;)

you've got sharp eyes, Bentley.. :) I had to go compare to my car to see how badly they missed it.. :) (only by 3 or 4 inches).. :) - but maybe they work better for backing up when they are closer to the sides?? :)
Drivers side pic of leaf spring...looks like a hacked-off extra leaf was added, and the clamps are missing

I'm not siding with the guy as his ebay ad is not as clear as the ad the Runutz posted up. If you were shopping that particular ad a Pace Car production date has no bearing [plane jane]. But if you were strictly shopping ebay.. then yeah, a little deceptive.
