I'm tossing around the idea of throwing these up for sale. What's a fair price these days where I'm not giving them away, but I'm also not taking advantage of someone? I almost forgot, they're for a Z28 and they're super rare!
Thanks.

Not super rare but desirable and valuable.
I am not really sure on price. Depends on how bad somebody needs them.

Thanks Bryon. I'll probably just hit eBay with them and take what I can get.
Depends on how fast you want to sell them. You could start off with a high buy it now and let people submit offers. That would test the waters. Good luck. :)
I'm not in much of a hurry, so we'll see how it goes in a week I guess.

You might add shifter to the title. Yours doesn't show up in most searches with just 'shift'.

Thanks Kurt. I just updated it.
what color is the plating ?
Most of the 69 Camaros I have seen had silver cad on the 1-2 and 3-4 rods, and black oxide on the rev rod but have seen all 3 silver and all 3 black

You can see them in the picture in my first post. If you can't see the pic, let me know.
If those rods were with the Shifter that I traded you, then the shifter body will also have dating information on it (see appropriate thread for decoding). The dating information might be important to a potential purchaser. Those rods were attached to that shifter when I purchased it from Don Trivett in the early 80's and which I only purchased because I identified it as a '69 Z28 shifter&rods; I didn't need it for my car, but it was rare to find one even back then. (ie. the date might be important from an original plating perspective. Note: I did nothing other than store that shifter/rods during the 30 yrs I had it.)

Those are the ones Gary. I didn't even think about the date from the shifter (Jan '69). That makes sense. I'll let the winner know. It's amazing how clean and original they are. You kept them in good condition. The current apparent value of the rods is taking a little of the sting out of what I traded you for the set-up. ;)
Here's a close up of the plating. My camera phone is leaving a little to be desired with pics these days...

Wow... I just took a look at your auction... With that price (and 4 days to go), there shouldn't be ANY sting.. :) AND you still have the shifter and handle to use on your car! :) Aren't you glad you took my advice and didn't modify those rods to work with your big block?? :)
Wow, had no idea shifter rods would bring that kind of money. I guess I'm keeping the factory hurst shifter on mine so I don't lose it, lol.
No doubt - that's like $800 in Canadian funds! 😳
in the last picture is that one the reverse rod?

No. I don't believe it is. The shortest one in the first picture should be. The last picture, with the different mount, is 1-2 if I'm not mistaken.
ok thank you. Good luck with your sale!
