69 ss steering problems

My camaro has a catch in the steering. When i'm making a turn the steering feels like it is slipping and then catching. Has anyone had this problem?

Have you ruled out basic causes, like belt tension, fluid level, & checked the whole system for leaks? Initially, I think it sounds like a belt issue,IMO.

Also, check your motor mounts.
