I realize this is an old thread but I stumbled upon it while searching my VIN. Here is the car mentioned above before and after restoration.

Very Nice SS!  The original Fathom green, white top and Ivory HT interior would have made a statement in 69!

You might want to save the wrinkled cowl seal before it gets worse, flip the horns and source the rad support to hood seal (I see some original clips still there!)

Thanks, yes the green would have been cool, maybe down the road I'll return it to its original color. I replaced the cowl air seal recently and have a rad seal and cowl to hood seal on back order currently. Thanks for pointing out the horns, I'll get them sorted out.

Through the POP and the magic of google  I was able to track down the granddaughter of the original owner. She says her grandfather purchased the car new at the age of 52, he passed away in 1992 and the family sold the car after that. Here are a few of the many items that came with the car that belonged to Mr. Adams

That is so cool to have some of the cars history like that. When I purchased my '68 from the original owner I was provided the POP, each annual each safety inspection receipt with recorded mileage, about 4-5 Midas lifetime warranty replacements (crossover & resonators). Of all the things he had the window sticker or sales contract was not part of what he kept.
