Is the rear window defrost fan motor in package tray unique in an rs/ss L78 car?
Can't find any info on this option.

Nope, not unique - thousands of Camaros got the C50 rear defog option. You won't find any details on the motor in the Assembly Manual, as it was installed by Fisher Body - Chevrolet only installed the switch and forward wiring.
