Title: A Few Scenes at The Nats in Indy
Post by: ko-lek-tor on September 06, 2015, 09:22:14 PM
Blue car belongs to a guy I know who has a salvage yard close to me. I did not even know he had this car. He keeps a low profile about what he has. I have heard that he has a hoard of 1st Gen. Camaro stuff. When approached, he denies having anything.

Black car busted a R&P(12bolt). Announcer asked if anyone on the ground had a 5.86 ratio for this team.

Barry, I wish I had the funds and time to go all weekend, but I just go on Saturday. Have been doing this for on and off about 30 years. As my son got older, I started going every year as a father/son thing. I have had the same seats (reserved) for a few years now. I have 3 seats, one extra if someone wants to go next year. It is a blast and a 'fix' for a much needed rubber burning, nitro smelling ear shredding day. It is a long, long day and this year was blistering hot. I leave @ 5am and get home @2am. When a teen, I worked at a Firestone tire store. T his is when the radial 500 recall was in process. Anyway, the Assistant Manager, Gil, had some funny terminology. His colorful description of a very hot day was, "It's hotter than a freshly f**ked fox in a flaming forest fire."Just some things you never forget, thought I'd pass it along for a chuckle. Oh, I also was "the colonel of the urinal". Another funny description of the guy who cleaned the john, lol.  Would love to go back to those days, it was fun and carefree.
