Title: best intake for 1968 327/275 hp
Post by: Canada69 on August 21, 2015, 10:49:13 PM
I have a 1968 3914678 HH 327 275hp engine and would like to build it up somewhat. I purchased a pair of 1996 10239906 heads and now need to determine which intake will work the best and if I should change the cam too, I realize that a cam change would involve a fair bit mmore money.
I would like to build this engine on a tight budget(I've spent $550 to date) and hope to achieve 375-400 hp.

Probably a Edelbrock Performer (non RPM version) which is available in both regular and Vortec configurations and allow both a spreadbore or squarebore carb to be mounted up good if you ever change carbs - not much higher than a stock manifold if at all but worth checking hood clearance - dimensions should be readily available on the Edelbrock site I'm sure..
