Title: '69 Camaro buzzer sounding
Post by: my69Z28camaro on May 30, 2015, 11:47:22 AM
I have a '69 Camaro Z28 RS, with the key NOT IN the ignition switch, when I open the door the buzzer sounds.  This just started a few weeks ago.  Thoughts on the cause?

The key buzzer leaf switch in the top end of the steering column has probably broken in the closed position and needs to be replaced.

John:  Thank you, I will start looking for the solution at that leaf switch.

69pace: Thank you. I SAW that part in your on line catalog, but I "thought" your catalog said it was for "tilt steering wheels" and mine is not a tilt steering wheel version.

Looks like they have both, the longer one pictured here is for non tilt. I am surprised to see this. For som time no one was offering it.
