Title: Place to rebuild fuel pump
Post by: dannystarr on May 04, 2015, 01:24:20 PM
I have found several places to rebuild calipers, and master cylinders, but no place to rebuild fuel pumps. Anybody have a good experience with a company that you can recommend?... Danny

Thanx guys... Well for the last 1,500 Miles or so.... I have been running a heart beat city aftermarket crimped bottom fuel pump with no issues, as it was the only one available with the embossed AC logo. And I wanted the visual. I of course would much rather run my original, but now rethinking this whole thing. Learnt something new today. So I guess I better forget worrying about correct look, and purchase a nice new modern pump.
And what about the offset connectors on First Gen Z/28 pumps. You know, that angle that is different than a regular pump fitting connection.

SO, with that said... Lot's of rebuilt, and even new crap out there these days. Who makes a good pump THAT WILL FIT properly ?  Pep Boys, Kragen / O'reily, Napa, Chevy Dealership, Summit, Jegs??... D

I read yesterday on camaro central website that they had a new repop fuel pump that now has the correct logo. But they were out! I had one that was supposed to be rebuilt but it was the wrong logo. I sent it back and here all 6 of the rebuilt pumps they had were stamped with the same date....
It was not from camaro central

I had Goat Hill rebuild a couple of original fuel pumps 8 years ago and installed one years later no issues. Not sure if they still offer the service.
