Title: 1969 camaro gearbox dates

I  have a gear box off a 69 camaro with a cast date of 69 and a stamp of 084 9 could someone explain this to me ??

By gear box, do you mean trans or steering?

With those type of codes, I would guess steering box.  They are Julian date coded.  69 meaning the 69th day of the year, same as 084 meaning the 84th day of the year, with the 9 meaning 69.

So it would be March 69

(power stering box )So how are the dates ,do you mean jan 1969 84th day  does this start on jan 1st so the date is in march sometime?

Jan 1st = 1
Dec 31 = 365
