I have my windshield out and you can see where the wipers ran in the right light.
Anyone have experience cleaning this up or should I be looking at one of the new date coded glass. Can you tell the new glass isn't correct and how bad does this hurt the car?
Thanks guys
Run your finger nail across the scratch if your nail gets resistance ( hangs up ) might be to deep to polish out.

There was an article in one of the car mags about an Eastwood kit. Sounded like a lot of work on an old Corvair glass but they said the results were great. It may have been Muscle car mag.
Those glass-polishing kits that use a Cerium oxide slurry are next to useless - they create a terrible mess, take hours and hours of work, and when you're done, you have an area of optical distortion that will drive you buggy, or a cracked windshield from overheating it.
Bill, we need to know how bad it is. If you run your fingernail across that area, does it catch? First thing to try is some GOOD glass cleaner and a newspaper.
Personally, if it is not bad, and it your case it sounds like it isn't, I would leave it alone if the above suggestion does not work.
