I'm posting this early, because the meet deadline is March 3. Look Here (http://www.aaca.org/images/meet_brochures/SE_Spring_Charlotte_2014.pdf) for meet brochure.
(And yes, as some of you known, that's me listed as chair... not as big a deal as it sounds, the Chief Judge does the real work....) ;)
An offer: If you are active on this forum and do plan to come to the Charlotte Autofair, I'll be happy to send you two tickets (as in "vendor" tickets for the entire Autofair).
PM me with your real name and mailing address. I'll send the tickets to you in March when they come available. (You will NOT be placed on any soliciting list.)
More Info on Autofair. (http://www.charlotte-autofair.com/)
Several on this forum from the greater Charlotte area are in local Camaro/Chevy clubs and will be there on the weekend.
Steve, Gary, and Rick, I haven't forgotten you... and I know where you live.... ;D
"Charlotte AutoFair -- presented by the Hornets Nest Region, AACA -- is the largest and greatest Collector Vehicle Event in the Southeast."
So, who is showing on the weekend with one of the Camaro clubs?
Phillip, I will be showing again with Classic Camaro's of the Carolina's. Last year, we were on pit road along the wall off turn four. It goes without say, that the guys in "yellow hats" do a great job in helping folks find their way around the CMS. Thanks in advance for all your teams great southern hospitality ;D :o...

I'll pass those kind words along! Thanks. Eddie. ;D
I'll be pretty busy on Saturday. If we CRG folks are going to meet up, it would be better for me on Thursday or Friday.
At any rate, I'll be sending around a dozen tickets (so far) to out of state CRG folks. We'll try to get together.
I'll be wearing my CRG T-shirt when Steve gets there! (wouldn't want to let him catch me without it....) On Saturday I guess it will be a light blue juding shirt and a yellow hat. ::)
Pic of car corral setting up on a Thursday below...
Anyone else showing? ???
Phillip,
I will be there both days with the Silver Z and Silver Convertible showing with Eddie and all the others in Classic Camaros of the Carolinas. Look forward to meeting those active on this board which will be there.

Great! I'll try to catch up with you and Eddie on Saturday afternoon. There are at least half a dozen out-of-town CRG-ers that may be there. We'll try to link up. I'll be pretty busy on Saturday morning with the AACA meet.
Phillip,
If everyone will be there on Friday, and you won't be so busy, would a Friday lunchtime meeting of CRG'ers be better for you?
and I suggest that you choose the most 'central/findable' location? :)

We'll have to talk about Friday. I'm not sure the local CRG-ers will be there. The Camaro clubs don't show until Saturday (I think).
The best place to meet is in front of Coker Tire. You can't miss it thanks to their big tire sign, and it is right in the middle of the infield where the orange and blue fields meet.
All we need is a place (Coker's tire has a huge tire ballon if I recall?) and a specific time designated, and there's no reason we can set aside that same time for both Friday and SAturday to accommodate everyone who wants to see some CRG faces.. :) so what's a good time for everyone?
I will be there selling parts in the Green field, where the bargains are. FG 109 stop by and say hi. I have a wide variety of parts, Camaro and Pontiac. Dan
If you are coming to look for parts, call suppliers and inquire about them ahead of time. If they have it, they can bring it and you can save shipping. A whole lot of the activity on Thursday is persons picking up pre-ordered parts. (http://www.picgifs.com/smileys/smileys-and-emoticons/car/smileys-car-232287.gif)

A list of the vendors expected to be there would be great.. :)... as I hope to save some shipping dollars. I'll be buying all the soft parts for this car at the show.
I just began last Thursday with a mad rush to finish body work, and paint the 57 Nomad body, I've spent most of several days since going thru my shop pulling out the 57 Nomad parts I tucked away 20+ yrs ago when I disasembled the car and did the body work.. (it's been on the rollover rack ever since; we even moved it to the paint shop on my homemade rack!) :) I'm 65+, and I probably moved 2000 lbs of parts today, plus a 55 Nomad with all 4 tires flat to get to the parts that I tucked away... Oooooohhhhh my aching back!!! ;)
PS. Found some more parts from my '69 Z28 that I haven't seen in about that long too.. :)
Gary,
PM sent about vendors list.
I am only looking for original parts for my 68 Z28. I am going to bring a wounded 69 ZL1 block to sell. Stop by take a load off if needed.
I will be there looking for original only parts for my 67, does anybody know of what field and numbers for venders I should be looking for?
Among other things I will be looking for a set of donut spares to roll my chassis on preferably something like these: Mid- to late 90's S-10 pickup compact spares (T155/80D16 or T155/90D16) If you have or see them please let me know. I hope to be there Thursday or Friday.

I have the passes for those who requested them. They'll go in the mail the first of next week.
Long range forecast looks good for that week (now). Vendors and car corral requests are still coming in, so there ought to be plenty to see and buy.
Wear your CRG shirt if you have one. Steve is coming and loves to see us wear them.
Gary, I'm sending you a PM.
Regrettably, I am no longer to make it down. Wish you all the best. Maybe next time.

Bummer! But we'll do it again in the Fall.
Very much a bummer.
School has to come first, I need to make more money so I can buy camaro stuff. I will be interning in labor & delivery for my paramedic certification.
Passes are in the mail.
Remember:
Do NOT separate the stubs on the passes. They must be presented whole as you enter.
Wear your CRG shirt if you have one.
If this is your first time, you do want to pick up a copy of the program of vendors as you enter. It has a map and complete vendor listing. If they have run out where you enter or you cannot find something, ask at one of the HNR tents. All the HNR folks will have on a yellow hat.
The best place to meet is at the Coker Tire booth, which is right in the middle of the infield and has a BIG tire above it.
Most of the time, I'll be at the AACA tent at the show field, which is located outside the speedway near the water tower beside the red field. (The red and green fields are outside the speedway.)
Forecast says temperature in the 70s. Chance of rain Friday.
Packed and ready to go. 4:45 am we will be south bound. 510 miles separate us from a great time.
Any pics ?
HI Phillip... sorry I wasn't able to make it this Spring, due to my 'co-driver' dropping out, and being unable to find someone else from here to share the driving.. :) I hope you all had a great time, and the rain skirted the area...? :) I called a friend up there on Thursday, who said the weather was great that day..
Gary
It was quite windy on Friday, Just Perfect on Saturday, and quite cool this morning, it warmed up a littler after noon today. There were a lot of people there both Friday and Saturday...Another good turn out of folks today, but I think the overcast skies and cooler weather held some folks from coming out early..
I help judge some classes on Saturday, so was not able to make it to the meet and great. But, I wore my CRG shirt proudly.
Eddie
Rick and I did link up. I spotted his CRG shirt half way across the orange field.
There were several First Gen Camaros in the AACA meet scattered through four different classes. I'm waiting on pictures from our region's photographer.
I'm glad to know the clubs did well.
A few First Gens in the Car Corral, but I do not know if they sold or not.
This was a highly successful Autofair, thanks to the good weather. We even had folks putting cars in the corral on Saturday.
All this speaks well of the future of the hobby.
I met a couple of guys that are working on starting up a new classic car event in Kansas City in 2015.

How did sales go? There were lots of people looking...
Still waiting on club photographer, but he has a good excuse. He has to have a 36 page club magazine to the printer today.
