Title: 68 Z/28 caliper bracket part numbers
Post by: janobyte on October 31, 2013, 11:57:40 AM
Few pics of my OE brackets before they get shipped off for re-finish. What was the finish on the line brackets ???? Ed B I can send you bigger pic if you want.

The brackets should be zinc dichromate. Who is doing the work? Steve at Brakeboosters.com did mine before I learned to do zinc plating myself (it's easy).

I think hes refering to the small brackets on the frame that hold the hoses and the hard lines go into the rubber lines.

Thanks, just found the finish in my own resources. Why would I think to look there !

Going to let Cook give it a try along with the line brackets.

Going to do all the bolts myself ( phosphate via Palmetto)

Spelling? as we reassemble---at this time everything is labeled and sorted .

Emailed CHP for a price on hood hinges/springs--release. I like having his name on some of the work--share the wealth. Also like kicking some work to members here who are so active on the site.

small ones appear to be natural or silver cad--not 100% sure ,need someone with a 68 Z to verify.
