Does this hold water? I have never heard this.
It's a 1967 early RS/SS that has a 350 V8 tag but VIN says has 396/375HP. In early 1966 they made 1630 of these and stamped them 350 V8. This is one of them.
They said value from 40,000-50,000 way sits since restored to factory and rotisseried
Unless I missed something the vin only reflects 8 or 6. The trim might but say 4k but?
Who is "They"? Where is this coming from?
The owner of the 67
Sounds like BS for a buck, looking for a sucker to pay big bucks for a story line on a car never built by GM.
? going to an auction ?
Videte emptor!
Ask the seller for documemtation and/or where he gained that information... I'd love to know how he justifies that one...
I've never met a seller of a "rare" car that wasn't an "expert"....

There's nothing in the VIN that says anything about the engine except whether it's a six or a V-8. The owner is in la-la land somewhere.
I've never heard anything like that, and can't see how the owner would know a story like that. It sounds like nonsense to me

What's the VIN?
No Camaros were made in early 66.....
The only twist to this that would make any sense is that if he was referring to the trim tag
showing a 396, but had a 350 that matched the vin tag. But if that was case with 1630 it would be common knowledge
