Hey folks - I'm in the process of doing an R&R of the 12 bolt rear axle seals in my '69 pace car, and as such need to refill with lube. I am thinking that a synthetic would be best but looking for experienced opinions regarding a particular brand, etc. Any recommendations on best lube/fluid to use for this application? I want to do it once and do it right. Thanks in advance for your input.

Any brand-name 75W90 or 80W90 GL-5 hypoid lube, with one or two 4-oz. bottles of GM Limited-Slip additive; you don't need any "miracle" lubricants.
Sage advice from the master himself. I'll take that information and run with it. Thanks again!
A good name brand gear oil will do the job. I've heard the synthetic may be a little too slick just like for trannys also.
