OK, had a hard time trying to either restore or find correct 3/8" fuel line clips. Ordered reproductions and sent them back (wrong color, etc). I tied the Dykem machinest dye, but too dark. Finally tried a hobby store and asked they had any sort of transparent blue paint or dye - they suggested Testors 1257 Transparent Blue. So thought I'd try it. It's a little glossy, but I thought the color/transparency was pretty close. Here's the results:
On the left is the Testors Painted version. Note the original is greasy on top - only the area around the bolt hole is the right color.

And all the brake and fuel lines restored/replated:

Where did you order the repro ones you thought we're wrong from?
HBC and Ricks....all the clips were different in size than the originals that came on the car and the blue ones were painted vs translucent paint for the 3/8" clips. Both solid vendors and I've bought my fair share of stuff from them, so not bashing either!! They both stand by their products and offered full refunds if not satisfied.
The repop vendor's kits are not very accurate.
My car had nothing but silver for the tab type clips for the 3/8 fuel line. IIRC, the not tab clips in 3/8 were all black.
Only had two blue clips on the whole car, and they were brake line clips. There were at least two vendors furnishing clips to GM and I am not at all convinced that the colors were exactly the same from one to another.
The color blue reminds me of a hammerite paint color
