What was the factory paint finish inside '69 park light/turn signal housings? I have an original set that are pretty rough inside, and seem to have the remains of a white-painted finish, looks like it may have been gloss; is that correct?
Not sure what factory used but I'm thinking it was close to argent silver? I have read some using aluminum color spray can paint and white, too, but mostly a brite silver color probably would work.

My originals appeared to have been 'white', and since it was intended to be reflective, glossy white would be the most reflective...
They are white.
Sorry fellas. White on the front lights and silver on the rear bucket insides. My bad.
Thanks Guys, I'll go with a gloss white then.
I have restored dozens of the 69 lamps, they are white inside.
Mike
My rear lights were definitely a silver/chrome looking paint.
Come to think of it I believe mine was silver. I'll check when I get a chance.
Just to clarify, I was referring to the front park light/turn signal housing, not the taillight housing.
I think it's a good idea to have the info for both front and rear light housings.
Taillight housings were silver inside.
