This is an open forum. Please be courteous and observe common net etiquette (netiquette), as summarized below. Irrelevant or irrational messages are subject to deletion at the discretion of the forum administrator. Enjoy!

Basic Netiquette (adapted from the MLMUG list)

  1. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
  2. Personal conversations or exchanges are for private e-mails, not forum posts.
  3. People have varying opinions and tolerance must be practiced by all.
  4. Be patient with newcomers. They may lack knowledge or ability in regard to the internet.
  5. This is an English-language forum, but please remember that not all participants are native speakers of English.
  6. Be forgiving of unintentional misunderstandings or discourtesies.
  7. Carefully read all messages to be sure you fully understand them.
  8. Re-read what you are about to post. Be sure your message cannot be easily misconstrued.
  9. When using humor or sarcasm, be sure it's evident. The absence of expressions common in face-to-face communication can lead to potential misunderstandings. Use smiley faces (aka, emoticons) to help indicate your message is meant as humor :-) or mild sarcasm ;-).
  10. Don't hide behind the anonymity of the internet to say rude or insulting things that you wouldn't say in person.
  11. Don't forward private messages to the forum without permission.
  12. Use concise subject lines that clearly define the contents of the posting.
  13. Topics within a subject thread can easily diverge from the original subject. This makes the new material easy to overlook by other readers, and harder to locate later. When the topic has changed please create a new post - with new subject - rather than including it in the original thread.
  14. Avoid using all UPPERCASE characters in your message. They are less readable and truly considered the internet equivalent of shouting.
