I like the original look so bought a reproduction set from Camaro Specialities a while back and the price was reasonable. Pretty sure all the vendors sell them such as Heartbeat City, Classic Industries etc.

I was thinking mine may be original, but maybe they are repros. My wires say 2Q and 3Q on them which I assume is 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter, which seems right since I have a 08C car. Do you have a choice of what date your wires say with reproduction wires?

Yes they do but not all 4 quarters are not available.

JohnZ covered the different quarters here:

I followed your link it looks like only 1st quarter and 3rd quarter are available, if it is the same for the other vendors on just those two available, I would assume mine may be the originals.  Thanks for the link by JohnZ that makes sense to me.

Another key point concerns hyphen format (4-Q-67 vs. 4Q-67). JohnZ had a point about this before about the double hyphen being correct. As he previously stated NCRS judging guides through 67 call for the double hyphen, and Lectric Limited uses that double format.

Actually Lectric Limited supplies both based on the build date of your car one or the other format may be correct. It looks like they sell one format for early cars 3-Q-68, and the other format for later cars 1Q- 69.

from their website:
"Note:  The original spark plug wire manufacturer for GM never standardized their wire script (font type, size, spacing, and text).  Example: As shown in the photo below, the script on a spark plug wire for an early-build 1969 Camaro (top wire) could look significantly different than a that of a late-build 1969 Camaro (bottom wire).
We manufacture all our spark plug wire sets from original blueprints (which did not include wire script information).  All our wire script information was obtained from original samples - Yes, we did obtain original samples on all the spark plug wires we manufacture!"

So which hyphen do your plug wires have? Would be good to see some originals from different time frames.....
My NCRS 67 judging manual shows your pictured top wire format (3-Q-67) yet the 68 judging manual shows 1Q-68 type format.

So what do you think 3Q67 or 1Q68 for an 04A build 68 Z/28 Camaro?

Hopefully some experts will chime in but from what I have researched I believe you would be OK either way but I'd go with the 1Q68.
