Recently I had the good fortune to come across an original 68 Wide Tread Tire and DF wheel that
I feel is unmolested and totally original. Wanted to share and also learn from the valve stem as its
different from what I thought I knew about.  All I ever read about were Dill valve stems!
I believe the tire is dated Jan68? It came from the original owner of the 68Z/28. Micro weight is like new!
Plan on using this as our spare but leaving it the way it is. What do you think?

Oh, and I checked the valve stem length of several DF wheels along with other Corvette rally wheels (68)
and they all stick out approximately 1.300". Opps, wrong length!

Nice buy Chick...

That tire has a lot of tread left!

These last two are a better shot of the backside that has the assembly plant markings.  These markings also show on the front valence panel and the firewall.

Great pics Jerry! Hard to find examples like this. Good on ya!
Also good to see the date of tire/wheel (both July) vs. your 07C.
